Tangem Pay Adds USDC Withdrawals to US Bank Accounts

Tangem Pay now supports sending USDC as USD to US bank accounts belonging to the user, another person or a business. On Basic, ACH costs $1 with a stated delivery time of 1 to 3 business days. FedWire costs $11 with same-business-day delivery. The supported amount is $1 to $10,000 per transfer.

The route accepts USDC on Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. Users confirm the transfer by tapping their Tangem card. App version 6.4 is required, and access is limited to eligible Tangem Pay users in supported regions.

On Basic, the transfer fee is added to the payout and debited from the same USDC balance. Sending $500 by ACH therefore debits $501 while the recipient receives $500. The $10 difference between the 2 rails pays for a different delivery timetable, not a larger transfer limit. Plus lists ACH and FedWire transfers as free.

This adds an exit route for a card-account balance that previously could be funded from a US bank. A supported token name alone is insufficient: USDC on a different chain is outside the 3 networks named for this route. The destination being a US bank also does not establish that every US resident can open Tangem Pay.

After confirmation with the card, the transfer cannot be cancelled. Another withdrawal or token swap cannot start until it finishes processing, and in-app status tracking such as In transit or Completed is not currently available. Remaining funds can still be used immediately. A user planning several money movements should therefore account for the pending transfer blocking the next withdrawal, even when the balance is sufficient.

Use ACH when the recipient can accept the longer business-day window; compare FedWire when timing justifies the extra charge. Before confirmation, check the source network, recipient account, displayed fee and available amount. Schedule deadline-sensitive transfers around banking business days, even when USDC can be sent at any time.
