Tangem Pay Opens 5,000 Early Birds Physical Cards
Tangem Pay has opened orders for a limited batch of 5,000 Early Birds plastic Visa cards. They work at physical terminals without Apple Pay or Google Pay and support ATM withdrawals. Basic allows 3 cards and Plus 5, counting virtual and physical cards together. A Basic user with 3 virtual cards must close one to make room for a physical card.
Delivery is restricted to the country of residence verified through KYC. Basic delivery costs $15.63–$63.45 by country; Plus gets its first delivery free, not every replacement. ATM withdrawals cost 4% on Basic and 2% on Plus. A different street address within the verified country is possible, but a trip abroad does not let the user choose a different delivery country.
Replacing an active physical card closes the old one as soon as the new order is accepted. Delivery therefore creates a period without that physical card, even though the replacement does not consume another card slot. Orders cannot be cancelled and delivery fees are not refundable, and every card arrives inactive and without a PIN until it is activated in the app. Address and name fields accept only Latin letters, digits and a few symbols, so an address written with é, ñ, Cyrillic or Chinese characters is rejected until Tangem Pay users rewrite it in plain Latin letters.
