Slash maps payment responsibilities in organization charts
Slash now provides Organization Charts to map team departments and organize payment responsibilities and permissions. Organization Charts sits in the Slash Card dashboard. Slash has not said whether editing the chart changes card or approval permissions automatically.
A department map gives a finance team a way to compare who owns a payment task with who can perform it. For example, after an employee changes departments, a new manager may own the budget. If an earlier payment authorization remains in effect, the responsibility map and the actual permission can point to different people.
When someone moves teams or leaves, use the chart to find the responsible person and check that person's actual authority to initiate or approve the specific payment. A visible reporting line alone cannot confirm an approval right. Resolve any mismatch between the person responsible and the authority for that payment before relying on the approval.
