Infini Card Drops the $10 Opening Fee on the First Card

Infini Card no longer charges the $10 opening fee on a first card. Each personal or business account gets one free card across all card types, and users who held an Infini Card before also get one free card opening. Fees for additional cards are confirmed during application.

An initial top-up of at least $10 is still required. That money goes into the card balance rather than being charged as an issuance fee, and a specific card may require a higher minimum top-up.

For personal cards, Lite supports ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions and earns 0% cashback. Pro and Max have a long-term base cashback rate of 1%, increased to 2% during the promotion. Up to 3% depends on membership tier and promotion terms, and cashback applies only to eligible purchases.

The waived fee does not change the cost of each purchase. Pro charges a 1% foreign exchange fee, so a non-USD purchase nets about 1% back while the 2% promotional rate lasts and roughly nothing at the 1% base rate. Max has no foreign exchange fee but charges 1% on transactions outside Hong Kong and $0.30 on transactions below $50; on a $15 subscription billed by a merchant outside Hong Kong, the $0.30 plus the 1% fee comes to 3%, more than the 2% promotional cashback. Lite charges a 3% foreign exchange fee and earns no cashback.

Infini has not published an end date for the 2% promotion. Readers who pay mostly in other currencies, or make frequent purchases under $50 on Max, can compare those fees against the 1% base rate to see what the card returns after the promotion.
