Ethena Pay Adds Privacy Mode for Account Discovery
Ethena Pay has added a privacy control for users who want more control over who can find their account. The setting is reached in 3 steps: open the profile, enter Security and turn on Privacy mode.
Account discovery and transaction privacy are different layers. A setting that changes who can find an account does not by itself establish that card payments are anonymous to an issuer or merchant, or that identity-verification records disappear. Someone deciding whether to make a payment still needs to evaluate the payment route's own data exposure separately.
Ethena Pay has not detailed the affected identifiers or exceptions in this update. Existing users who want less account discoverability can review the control, but should check its in-app explanation before assuming that it blocks a particular search method. Verify the setting's saved state and the behavior it describes; the presence of a privacy switch alone is insufficient to promise that nobody can find or identify the account.
