RedotPay Adds MXN Funding Through SPEI
RedotPay has added SPEI as a route for bringing MXN into its account. The service supports local-currency deposits or buying 2 stablecoins, USDT and USDC. For RedotPay Card holders, this provides a bank-payment entry point rather than requiring an existing onchain balance for every top-up.
A successful bank transfer and a usable card balance are separate checkpoints. Depositing local currency does not by itself establish which asset a later card purchase will debit. Someone choosing between a deposit and a stablecoin purchase needs to compare the asset and amount delivered, then check that those funds are available for card spending. The same MXN input can lead to a different outcome when conversion quotes or charges differ.
RedotPay's general bank-deposit rules require a personal bank account matching the verified identity; corporate or business deposits may fail. Deposit details depend on the currency and are shown in the app. Before sending MXN, check the SPEI instructions for the account actually being funded, rather than reuse EUR, GBP or a previous recipient's details.
SPEI support does not establish new card-application eligibility across Mexico, nor does it guarantee that every account has the same deposit and conversion options. Existing users can compare the in-app route with their current funding method using the final amount available to spend. RedotPay works with licensed Mexican financial partners; virtual assets are not Mexican legal tender and are not backed by Banco de México.
