Plasma One's 20% Olive Young cashback stops at $30
Plasma One is paying 20% back on Olive Young purchases from 00:00 UTC on 28 September to 23:59:59 UTC on 4 October 2026. The cap is $30 per card account for the whole period, which at 20% is $150 of qualifying spend. The rate and the cap are identical at every tier, Lite included, with no minimum spend and no per-transaction cap.
The boosted rate replaces the base or category rate on the same transaction instead of adding to it. A Platinum account already earning 4% gains 16 points, or $24 on a full $150. The $30 sits outside the monthly tier cap, though Olive Young purchases still count toward monthly qualifying spend.
The window runs on UTC, so the Korean day is shifted
In South Korea the period runs from 09:00 KST on 28 September to 08:59:59 KST on 5 October. What decides is when the card payment is authorized, not when the order was placed. An online order placed inside the window whose payment authorizes after it does not qualify, and neither does a payment authorized before the window on an order that ships during it.
The offer exists only if the app displays it
The boost is targeted. It applies to an account only if it appears there as a banner or offer card in the Plasma One application during the period; without that display the ordinary rate applies. Where the displayed offer states a rate, cap or period that differs from the published terms, the display governs for that account. Accounts opened during the window can qualify after identity verification and a qualifying purchase.
Only Olive Young's own stores and two websites count
A qualifying purchase is made in person at an Olive Young store in any country, or online through Olive Young's Korean online store or the Olive Young Global Mall. Other retailers, marketplaces, resellers and duty-free operators are out, and the merchant category code is not what decides: Plasma matches the merchant descriptor it recognizes. A wallet payment qualifies only if the card funds all of it, and buy-now-pay-later does not qualify at all. Gift cards, e-gift cards and vouchers earn nothing, as does any part of a bill paid with points, store credit or coupons.
Two consequences follow for anyone shopping in Seoul. Tax-free pricing applied at the till lowers the settled amount, and lowers the cashback base with it. A VAT refund collected later at the airport does not reduce the cashback, and earns nothing on its own.
Cashback is held 14 days and paid in XPL
Each accrual is held for 14 days from the capture of the transaction and paid in XPL once Plasma's review is done. A return, refund or chargeback inside that window voids it. A return afterwards can be clawed back at the dollar amount accrued rather than the market value of the XPL already paid, and pending figures in the app vest nothing.
A $30 ceiling changes the price of a purchase already planned. Above $150 of Olive Young spend the ordinary tier rate applies again, and that is the number worth comparing against another card.
