MiniPay Adds Fee-Free BRL Deposits and Withdrawals via PIX

MiniPay has partnered with TransFi to offer fee-free BRL deposits and withdrawals through PIX, Brazil's instant payment rail. The route is live in the MiniPay app now: a user sends BRL via PIX and receives a stablecoin balance, or converts a stablecoin balance back to BRL and cashes out to PIX, without MiniPay charging a fee on either direction.

PIX itself is what makes this route fast. It runs 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and settles in real time — a meaningful difference from a traditional bank transfer, which can take a business day or more and only run during banking hours. TransFi is already a known integration partner in MiniPay's Latin America rollout, alongside providers like El Dorado, so this extends an existing PIX and Mercado Pago on-ramp rather than introducing PIX support from scratch.

"Fee-free" describes MiniPay's own charge, not the total cost of the round trip. PIX transfers between Brazilian bank accounts are typically free or near-free on the banking side, but the conversion between BRL and the stablecoin still happens at whatever rate TransFi quotes at the moment of the transaction — that spread is where the real cost of the route shows up, and it will not appear as a line-item fee. Before treating this as a free top-up channel, compare the quoted rate against a normal PIX-to-exchange route for the same amount.

The MiniPay Card draws from the same wallet balance that PIX now feeds directly, so a Brazil-based user funding the card no longer needs to route through an exchange first. The onramp itself doesn't change the card's spending terms — cashback, fees and merchant acceptance stay whatever they were before this update.
