Lava adds up to 5% BTC cashback for Netflix
Netflix is now a rewards partner for the Lava Card, with up to 5% BTC cashback on eligible spending. The maximum rate is not guaranteed on every payment. Each merchant has its own offer dates, regional availability and qualifying purchase conditions, so a Netflix subscription must meet the applicable terms. The partner rate applies to US and international cardholders alike, while other eligible purchases earn up to 3% in the US and up to 1% elsewhere. One transaction earns under only one program or promotion.
Lava calculates the reward in dollar value first, then converts it into BTC when distributing it. The BTC amount therefore is not fixed at the moment of card payment. After distribution, the dollar value of that BTC changes with the bitcoin price, even though the original eligible purchase stays the same.
Rewards usually arrive within 24 hours after settlement, though they can take 1–3 days. Refunded or reversed transactions earn no cashback, and rewards already issued for those transactions are taken back.
Redemption requires at least 100,000 sats (0.001 BTC), and rewards from every settled purchase add to the same balance. A $20 monthly charge at the full 5% earns $1 in rewards; at a bitcoin price of $100,000, that charge alone would take about 100 months to reach the minimum. For most subscribers, other card spending determines when the rewards become redeemable.
Before counting the reward toward a subscription budget, check the Netflix offer conditions for the next renewal and the accumulated rewards balance against the minimum. Reward crediting and reaching the redemption threshold are separate steps.
