ether.fi AI Connector reads card transactions
ether.fi has launched an AI connector that lets Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants supporting the Model Context Protocol (MCP) read transactions, cards and balances. For ether.fi Cash users, this brings card spending into conversations with an AI assistant.
Users can ask the assistant to group spending by category, check recurring subscriptions or review expenses from a trip. The connector supplies account data for these questions, so users can work with their transaction history rather than manually describe each purchase.
To set it up, add https://mcp.ether.fi/mcp as a custom connector in the AI assistant, then select the ether.fi account and approve the data it can read. The connection is read-only: the assistant cannot make payments, transfer funds or change cards. It sees card nicknames and the last 4 digits, not full card numbers.
Access can be revoked at any time, and revocation takes effect on the next request.
