Altitude Adds BRL Bank Payments Through Pix
Altitude now supports payments to Brazilian bank accounts in BRL through Pix, directly from an Altitude balance. The company describes funds arriving in seconds, around the clock, without correspondent banks or SWIFT routing.
This adds a bank-payment route beside Altitude card spending. A recipient who wants a bank transfer does not need to accept a card: the balance leaves through Pix and arrives as local currency. That is useful for paying Brazilian recipients, rather than for a checkout that specifically requires card credentials.
Fast delivery does not determine the conversion price. For a balance in another currency, the BRL amount delivered and the amount deducted together determine the effective exchange rate; a short transfer time alone cannot establish whether the payment is cheap.
Before sending, compare those two amounts and confirm the recipient details. Altitude has not published the fee or conversion spread in this update, so a Pix payment and a card purchase should be compared on the BRL each delivers for the same amount deducted.
