Who the Plasma One Starlink cashback is for

Plasma advertised 10% back on Starlink purchases until August 15. If you already pay Starlink, that is a nice rebate. If you do not, it is not a reason to buy satellite internet.

Merchant rewards are not base rewards

This is the part people blur when comparing cards. A merchant campaign depends on the right merchant, the right date and the transaction being coded the way the card program expects. The ordinary reward rate is what you should use for card comparisons.

For travel, remote work or backup connectivity, Starlink can be a real bill. In that case Plasma One may reduce the cost of something you were already buying. That is the clean use case.

Keep the receipt and check the reward entry. A merchant offer is only real once it posts.
