Payment Scan makes card issuers easier to read

Payment Scan posted a short list of stablecoin card issuers it tracks: Rain, Wirex Developers, Immersve and Stablecoin, with Kulipa and Fiat24 marked as paused or defunct. The more useful source is its issuer page, which separates card programs from the companies that issue cards through Visa or Mastercard relationships.

That distinction matters. A user sees RedotPay, KAST, Ether.fi, Gnosis Pay, MetaMask, Bitget Wallet or another card brand. The payment stack may sit behind a different issuer, chain and settlement route. When card volume changes, it can tell you something about infrastructure adoption, but it does not automatically tell you which card has better fees, limits or KYC rules.

The issuer view works as a map, not as a ranking. It helps answer questions like whether a card program is tied to Visa or Mastercard, whether activity is onchain, and whether the issuer is still active. It should sit next to the normal card checklist: supported countries, funding assets, conversion spread, cashback caps, account limits and support quality.

For daily card choice, the product terms still matter more than the issuer chart. The value of Payment Scan is that it makes the hidden rails easier to inspect before you trust a card with regular spending.
