OKX Card's 10% Cashback Requires Accreditation and VIP Status
OKX Singapore has published what verifying Accredited Investor status unlocks on the platform, and card cashback is on the list. The rate quoted is up to 10% on the OKX Card, and it belongs to VIP customers rather than to accredited investors generally.
Accreditation and VIP are two separate conditions
Verified Accredited Investors get up to 8% APY on USDG portfolio balances, preferential trading fees and access to campaigns. The card cashback sits with the VIP benefits, alongside complimentary airport limo transfers and priority event invitations.
Accreditation is a regulatory classification a user verifies with OKX. VIP is OKX's own customer tier. Clearing one does not confer the other, and OKX has not said what VIP requires or whether accreditation shortens the path to it. Anyone reading the two groups as a single list of accredited-investor perks will overestimate what verification alone delivers.
The published figure is a ceiling with no stated cap
Up to 10% describes the top of a range. OKX has not published which spending categories reach that rate, what monthly or per-transaction cap applies, or whether it stacks with existing card promotions. A percentage without a cap attached is the least informative form a cashback number can take, because over a month of spending the cap is usually what decides what a rate is worth.
Accredited Investor status in Singapore is a classification under the Monetary Authority of Singapore's rules, based on income, net assets or financial assets. Opting into it changes which regulatory protections apply to an investor. That is a separate matter from card rewards and worth understanding on its own terms rather than as the price of a cashback rate.
The verification incentive is time-bound and unrelated to the card
OKX pays US$200 on successful verification and adds entry into a draw for OKX Suite tickets to the Singapore Night Race. Both are one-off incentives tied to verification itself, not to card spending, and they end with the campaign instead of persisting as a card benefit.
For anyone already holding VIP status at OKX Singapore and already spending on the card, accreditation is the last step between them and the published rate. For everyone else, the 10% hangs off a tier they would need to reach first, and OKX has not published what reaching it costs. The numbers live inside the app rather than on a public terms page, so that is where they have to be checked.
How a rate and a cap together decide the amount paid is covered in onchain cashback paid versus headline rates.
