Gnosis Pay Stops Issuing New Cards on 30 September
Gnosis Pay stops issuing cards on 30 September 2026, both to new signups and to accounts that already exist. After that date a Gnosis Card holder who loses a card, breaks one or has one stolen cannot get a replacement, and has nothing to spend with until their partner app moves to the new platform and issues a new card there.
Those partner dates are not published. Each partner runs its own timeline and tells its own users directly, so the gap between losing a card and holding a working one is open-ended rather than a known number of weeks.
Creating a spare costs nothing and takes a couple of minutes. One or two extra virtual cards, or a spare physical card ordered before the cut-off, keep working afterwards. It is worth doing whether or not someone intends to move to a partner app, because it is the only part of this that stays entirely under the cardholder's control.
GNO cashback ends on the same date
The GNO cashback programme closes on 30 September too. What replaces it is not a single new rate: rewards after that date are set by whichever partner app a cardholder ends up in, and each partner decides its own coverage, rewards and support terms. Comparing partner apps on rewards only becomes possible once each one publishes them.
Gnosis Pay's consumer wind-down runs to the end of 2026 — that is when the web app at app.gnosispay.com is deprecated and when the Gnosis Pay card itself gives way to partner cards. Web app signups were already switched off on 4 September. But the three milestones that change what a cardholder can do all land on 30 September, roughly three months earlier: no new signups for the card, no new cards on existing accounts, no GNO cashback.
Withdrawals are the exception that keeps working. The web app's withdraw function stays available after the rest of the app is discontinued, so funds are not stranded by the shutdown even though spending is.
EUR, GBP and USD holders are not in the same position
EUR cardholders have a route now. Rebind will be the first partner live on the new platform on Gnosis Chain, the same chain a Gnosis Pay account already runs on, so the account and its IBAN carry across without repeating identity checks.
GBP cardholders have none. No current partner supports GBP on Gnosis Chain, and while MiniPay serves UK residents, it does so through USDC and USDT on Celo, which means a fresh signup rather than a migration — a different account, a different chain, and identity checks again.
USD sits between the two. Partners are still settling their plans, and the only option available today is MiniPay on Celo, again as a new account rather than a transfer.
For a GBP or USD cardholder with no announced destination, the spare card is what keeps a card usable through however long the partner timelines turn out to be. The earlier shutdown of the direct web app was announced on 3 September; these dates are what it means in practice.
