Bitget QR Pay rewards are not card acceptance

Bitget Wallet promoted upgraded QR Pay rewards for Vietnam and the Philippines. This is relevant to crypto-card users because it affects merchant payment, but it is not the same thing as wider Visa or Mastercard acceptance.

The rail is merchant QR

Bitget Wallet documentation describes local QR codes such as VietQR and QR Ph. The wallet deducts supported stablecoin balances and converts at payment time. That is a wallet-to-local-QR flow, not a card-network flow.

The reward only matters in the right market

A QR Pay campaign is useful when the user is actually in a supported country, the merchant accepts the local QR standard, and the wallet holds the right asset on a supported network. Outside that path, the card comparison still depends on card availability, fees and limits.

QR Pay covers local merchants, the card covers the rest

For Vietnam or the Philippines, QR Pay can sit beside a crypto card as a local merchant-payment option. The clean split is simple: use card rails where card terminals work, and QR rails where local QR acceptance is stronger.

Tracked card details are on Bitget Wallet Card.
